Rhinelander football played Saturday afternoon in Merrill

Jaxon West is tackled after a gain in the 4th quarter. West was the leading rusher for the Hodags with 60 yards.

After losing yards on the first possession that started on the Hodag 20 Abe Gretzinger punted into the strong wind and the Bluejays had the ball on the Hodag end of the field.

Linebacker CJ Kanitz almost had the interception as the ball went through his hands.

Rhinelander football played Saturday afternoon in Merrill and were attempting to ruin their homecoming weekend. Merrill had other plans as they dominated both sides of the ball and special teams and handed the Hodags a 37-0 loss. Quarterback Abe Gretzinger had his worst day of the season going 6 for 10 passing and just 70 yards and was sacked 8 times.
