The City of Rhinelander Common Council voted unanimously Monday to appoint Angela Gorall, ICMA-CM, MPA, to serve as the next city administrator. The move came after a brief closed session discussion. The panel interviewed two finalists on Sept. 25 but did not immediately extend a job offer.
According to a city press release, Gorall brings approximately 26 years of local government experience to Rhinelander, with a career spanning municipal administration, finance, human resources, strategic planning, organizational leadership, and community development. She currently serves as Deputy City Administrator for the City of Woodbury, Minn., a community of more than 81,000 residents, where she also leads the Administration and Finance Department.
Gorall holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh and a bachelor’s degree in public administration from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay. She is also an International City/County Management Association Credentialed Manager (ICMA-CM).
Gorall succeeds Patrick Reagan who resigned in August to take a similar position in Sault St. Marie, Mich.
Gorall is scheduled to begin her role with the city on Nov. 16.
