Culver?s to host Frederick Place benefit
Culver’s will host a benefit from 4 to 8 p.m. Dec. 12 for the area homeless shelter, Frederick Place. A portion of all Culver’s sales during that time will be donated to NATH’s shelter.
Members of the Northwoods Alliance for Temporary Housing, Inc. (NATH) Board of Directors and NATH Volunteers will greet customers and assist with delivering orders. Culver’s is located at 620 West Kemp Street in Rhinelander.
Those not able to participate in the Culver’s Shares Program Dec. 12, could assist the homeless shelter in other ways.
These include: provide an evening meal for residents; donate items from the “Wish List” (call the shelter for current items); donate a small amount monthly; volunteer at the shelter; or volunteer to transport residents to appointments.
Funds raised during the Culver’s event will be used for the operating costs for Frederick Place. These costs include 24 hour staffing, case management, utilities, insurance, food, supplies and maintenance.
Tax-deductible donations may be mailed to NATH/Frederick Place, P.O. Box 913, Rhinelander, WI 54501.
