The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT)will host a public involvement meeting on Oct. 14 to discuss proposed improvements for US 51, at the County K/Swamp Lake Road intersection in Oneida County.
The meeting will be hel;d at the Northwoods Community Elementary School, 9086 County K, Harshaw, WI 54529. A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 5 pm with the remainder of the meeting to follow an open-house format.
The objective of the meeting is to provide an update to the proposed improvements and anticipated construction impacts. The proposed improvements include reconstructing the intersection as a single-lane roundabout to reduce the number of severe crashes at the intersection and maintain traffic operations.
Intersection improvements are currently scheduled for construction in 2027.
