A new specialty medical clinic will bring ear, nose and throat services back to Rhinelander next year, filling a gap left when the previous facility closed in 2024.
On Thursday, ENT & Allergy Associates announced plans to construct a 6,500-square-foot clinic at 1933 Navajo St., with patient services expected to begin in summer 2026. The Wausau-based practice specializes in ENT care, allergy treatment, immunology, asthma management and audiology services.
The new facility represents the company’s return to permanent operations in Rhinelander after losing its leased clinic space last year. Since then, the practice has maintained a presence in the area through temporary arrangements at the Holiday Inn Express in Rhinelander and the Forest County Potawatomi Health & Wellness Center in Crandon.
“We are excited to expand to a permanent presence in Rhinelander,” said Dr. David Edmondson, practice president. “With this new, full-time location, ENT & Allergy Associates will continue to provide unmatched, high-quality, dependable access to ear, nose, throat, allergy, asthma and audiology-related specialty care.”
The clinic will be staffed by Dr. Shane White, a Rhinelander native returning to provide full-time ENT care in his hometown, along with board-certified allergists, doctors of audiology and support staff.
