Big changes are coming to the Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital.
The hospital, built in 2002, is undergoing several internal renovation projects designed to improve patient care, expand services, and create a more modern, welcoming environment, Aspirus officials announced in a press release. While these projects may create temporary disruptions, they represent important investments in the future of health care in our community, officials said.
Construction of a new cardiology clinic inside Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital is nearing completion. Once finished, cardiology services will relocate from their current off-site location to the hospital. The clinic is expected to begin welcoming patients in the coming weeks.
The Inpatient Behavioral Health Department is expanding to include two new patient rooms, additional office space, and modifications to the Intensive Treatment Unit day room. Admissions for the new rooms are expected to begin later this fall.
Installation of a new CT scanner is planned for early fall, with patient scans expected to begin shortly thereafter.
