Obituary: Joseph Schoone
Joseph Peter Schoone, age 79 of Rhinelander, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at Ascension St. Clare’s Hospital in Weston. He was born July 14, 1939, in Tomahawk to Peter and Gertrude (Amelse) Schoone.
Joe is survived by his wife, Joyce Schoone of Rhinelander; children, Joseph D. (Tammy) Schoone of Rhinelander and Sandra (Daniel) Holquist of Rhinelander; four grandchildren; one great granddaughter; his sister, Dorothy Gennrich of Gleason; other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial mass for Joe will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church in Rhinelander with Father Michael Tupa officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at the Carlson Funeral Home and again from 10:30 a.m. until the time of mass on Friday at the church.
