STAR JOURNAL REPORT
Two women have been charged in Forest County Circuit Court on a number of drug charges.
Melissa H. Wade, 35, of Oneida, was charged Sept. 11 with possession with intent to deliver heroin (>10-50 g) and possession with intent to deliver cocaine (>1-5 g), both felonies, and possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wade is jailed on a $10,000 cash bond.
Morningstar Skenandore, 36, of Milwaukee faces seven felony charges and one misdemeanor, including possession with intent to deliver heroin (>10-50 g) and possession with intent to deliver cocaine (>1-5 g), felony bail jumping and possession of THC (second or more offense). She remains in custody on a $15,000 cash bond.
The Forest County Drug Task Force received information last month that Skenandore and Wade were allegedly selling heroin and crack cocaine on the Potawatomi Reservation.
The suspect’s vehicle was located and a traffic stop performed. A vehicle search reportedly resulted in drug paraphernalia and several packaging materials for heroin and cocaine along with a large amount of cash.
While being searched at the jail, Wade reportedly removed an item from her body that contained 12 g of heroin, 4 g of crack cocaine and 2 g of marijuana.
Skenandore has a preliminary hearing set for Sept. 20 in Forest County Court and Wade will appear for an adjourned initial appearance Sept. 26.
