The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office has reported that DNA evidence has led them to a suspect in the June 10 physical and sexual assault of an elderly woman in the town of Pelican.
A physical description was not available, but according to a press release from Captain Terry Hook, DNA processed at the Wisconsin State Crime Lab identified Isaiah Moren, 21, of Rhinelander as a suspect.
Moren has been in custody since early in the investigation on a probation hold. The sheriff’s office reportedly expects to arrest him on charges of burglary, battery to an elderly person, first degree recklessly endangering safety, first degree sexual assault and strangulation.
