BOYS SOCCER: Hodags edge Mosinee, remain undefeated in GNC

After giving up the first goal midway through the first half, the Rhinelander High School varsity boys soccer team scored twice in the second half to win in Great Northern Conference action at Mosinee, 2-1.
The Hodags tied the game on a goal from Jonus Sabani assisted by Darin Bloomquist before Daniel Ritchie scored the game-winner unassisted.
Though only winning by one goal, RHS had a 29-9 advantage in shots on goal with Josh Randolph making eight saves to record the win in net.
The Hodags, who improved their season record to 3-0 in the GNC and 6-2-1 overall, return to action Tuesday when they host a conference game against Northland Pines, which is also 3-0 in the GNC and the only other team undefeated in conference play.
