BOYS BASKETBALL: Hodags ground Eagles in GNC opener

STAR JOURNAL REPORT

After leading by six points at halftime Friday night, the Rhinelander High School varsity boys basketball team outscored Northland Pines 31-16 in the second half to pick up a 59-38 road victory in the first Great Northern Conference game of the season.

The Hodags had nine players tally points led by Easton Senoraske with 13, which included three 3-pointers. Reeve Craig added nine points all on 3-point baskets with Junior Howard scoring nine more.

RHS shot 23-62 (37.1 percent) from the field overall and 9-26 (34.6 percent) from 3-point range.

The win improved the Hodags’ season record to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in the GNC going into this coming Friday’s conference game at home against Mosinee.
