GIRLS TENNIS: Hodags sweep Phillips to go 8-0 in GNC

The Rhinelander High School girls tennis team dropped only three games out of seven matches Tuesday when the Hodogs won their Great Northern Conference home meet over Phillips, 7-0.
RHS’s Ivy Packard and Belinda Weddle won their respective No. 1 and No. 3 singles matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores with the No. 1 doubles team of Ali Schickert and Erica Counter also winning in straight sets without dropping a game. No. 4 singles player Alex Oestreich was awarded a 2-0, 2-0 victory on a forfeit.
The Hodags improved their season record in team play to 8-0 in the GNC and 16-4 overall going into Thursday’s meet at Lakeland Union High School.
