SchnoorPaul W. Schnoor, age 49, of Rhinelander, died April 26 of cancer, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born on September 1, 1966 in Merrill, WI to William and Rhae Ellen (Neunast) Schnoor. Paul attended schools in Rhinelander graduating from RHS in 1984. He had been employed at Printpack until his failing health forced his retirement. Paul married the love of his life, Sherri Ohlsson, on April 24, 1987. It was so important to him that he held on to the end to celebrate their 29th anniversary.

Paul had many interests. He loved anything with an engine, especially his Harley Davidson. As he passed on his passion of riding to his daughter, they often went on afternoon rides together. On weekends you could find Paul in the garage with his son, proudly passing on his mechanical skill. Hunting, fishing, and shooting were also a big part of Paul’s life. He was a member of the USPSA and NRA and you could often find him at the Hodag Sports Club shooting pistols with his best friend Terry. Paul also enjoyed simple afternoons at home with the dogs, Roxie and Brutus, watching cardinals in the back yard.

Paul is survived by his wife Sherri, children Kailey and Tanner, mother Rhae Ellen(Mel Hook) Schnoor of Rhinelander, his sisters Shari(Ambrose Budnick)) Schnoor of Hatley, WI, Peggy(Doug) Taylor and Lynn Schnoor both of Rhinelander, nieces, nephews, other family and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his father William, his brother Steve, his nephew Daniel Budnick and his grandparents.

A celebration of Paul’s life will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the Crescent Town Hall/Fire dept. from 3 to 8 p.m. The family is asking to please wear anything camouflaged, Harley Davidson, or gun related. You may leave your private condolences for the Schnoor family at www.carlsonfh.com. The Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414) is handling the arrangements for the Schnoor family.
