Obituary: Carol A. Pulec
Carol A. Pulec, age 82 of Bundy, died Sunday, April 24, 2016 surrounded by her family at home, following a long illness. She was born in Chicago September 6, 1933. She was a 1951 graduate of Mercy High School in Chicago. Carol was united in marriage to Frank P. Pulec on May 18, 1963. The family moved to Rhinelander in 1966 and then to Bundy in 1968. Carol had been employed as a rural paper carrier for the Hodag Shopper and Our Town newspaper. She had also been employed at Kmart and in her younger years was a childcare provider. Carol enjoyed gardening, especially flowers and also enjoyed crocheting. Carol played volleyball with the Ding-a-Ling team at the Memorial Building in Rhinelander and softball with the Bundy Bombers where she played until the age of 62. She will be remembered for being a great mom, grandma and great-grandma. Family was very important to Carol and she cherished every moment. She will be dearly missed by her children, Lynne (Gary) Schoone of Bundy, Rick (Jan) Pulec of DePere, Cathy (Tracy) Wagner of Fisher, Ill., Joyce (Brian) Sinclair of Bundy and Tom Pulec of Rhinelander. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one sister; Nancy Mancuso of Lake Geneva and a sister-in-law, Marian DeLuca of Chicago Heights, Ill. Carol is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Pulec and one son, Frankie. The visitation for Carol will be held Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service at Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home. Deacon Dan Towle will be officiating. Private interment will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Rhinelander. The family of Carol would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers, Mary Jean and Bob Buschmann and the staff at Ministry Hospice.
