Obituary: Barbara Ann Schubert

Barbara Ann Schubert, age 78 of Rhinelander, died Thursday, December 8, 2015, at Rennes Health and Rehab. She was born on December 2, 1937, in Milwaukee to Merril and Mae (Raebel) Daley.

Barb graduated from Messmer High School in Milwaukee and then worked at The Controls Company in Milwaukee. She moved to Rhinelander in 1979 where she was employed as a dietician at St. Mary’s Hospital for over 20 years. Barb enjoyed trips to the casino and making cookies. She will be fondly remembered as a great cook.

Barb is survived by her four children, Laura (Bert) Seeger of Racine, Linda Stamper of Menasha, Leo Krombholz of Harshaw and Sue (Eric) Booker of Oshkosh; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildre and a sister, Patricia (Edward) Rudis of Harshaw.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William “Bill” Schubert on June 8, 2004.

A memorial service for Barb will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at the Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414) with Father Jim Hoffman officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Condolences for the family may be forwarded at www.carlsonfh.com.
