Obituary: Jaye Michalski
Jaye Michalski, age 69, of Rhinelander, died November 15, 2015 at Ministry-St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born July 1, 1946 in Merrill to Leonard and Dora(Saeger) Neunast. Jaye attended schools in Merrill graduating from the Merrill High School in 1964. A year later she married her soulmate, James Michalski, on May 29, 1965, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill. God blessed them with 50 years of marriage. In 1969 they moved to Rhinelander where she and Jim owned and operated the Clark Station for 26 years. During that time she also owned and operated “J’s Shell” on Lincoln Street for a couple of years. After her stint in the oil business, Jaye went to work for Nicolet Bank, retiring in 2011, after 19 years of service. In her spare time she loved her garden, especially the Lillies. The most important part of Jaye’s life, next to her Lord and Savior, was her family and her two sons, whom she was very proud of. She loved her Lord and Savior and served/worshipped him through her membership in the Grace Foursquare Church. She loved her church family and all that came with it. Jaye loved being around people. She was not afraid to share her opinion and she had a wonderful sense of humor. Jaye is survived by her husband James, her two sons Dean (Meredith) Michalski of Rhinelander and Dave (Tara) Michalski of Cambridge; her two grandchildren Tyler and Lachen, her great-grandson Zaylen; her sisters Rhae Ellen (Mel Hook) Schnoor of Rhinelander and Karla (Steve )Streich of New Auburn; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Doralyn; nephews Steve Schnoor and Matthew Streich and her brother-in-law William Schnoor. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 19 at 11 a.m. and visitation from 9:30-11 a.m. at Grace Foursquare Church. The Reverend Robert Messerli will officiate. Interment will be in the Forest Home Cemetery. You may leave your private condolences for the Michalski family atwww.carlsonfh.com.
