The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce has named a new Executive Director. Bill Clow comes to Rhinelander from northern Illinois where he has had a career in marketing and community outreach.
“I am excited to work with the Chamber staff, volunteers and Board to continue the important work of supporting the Rhinelander business community,” said Clow. “Rhinelander is a special place and our vision for the chamber is for it to be a catalyst for growth of new and existing businesses in the area.”
Most recently Clow worked as director of Community Outreach for Harvard, Illinois school district, and president of WHIW, a nonprofit community radio station he helped start. Clow has served on the Boards of several Chambers of Commerce. He holds a BS in advertising and a MBA in the University of Illinois.
“The search committee felt that Bill had the skills and vision to ably support the Chamber’s mission and strategic goals. He will bring a fresh perspective to the Chamber,” said Chamber President, Brett Aylesworth.
A Chamber committee began its search this fall when previous Executive Director, Dana DeMet resigned from the chamber to take another job in Rhinelander.
