Boil water advisory lifted for town of Crescent water spring
The water flowing from the spring in the town of Crescent is once again safe to drink. The Oneida County Health Department has rescinded the boil water advisory.
“Water samples collected from the Crescent Town Spring on September 2nd and 3rd were negative for coliform bacteria. Therefore, the boil water advisory has been removed,” according to a press release issued Friday afternoon. “The water in the Crescent Town Spring is again suitable for drinking.”
The Water from the spring will be sampled in one month to ensure the chlorination and disinfection process was successful. The press release went on to say the Oneida County Health Department and Town of Crescent appreciates everyone’s patience and understanding throughout this process.
