Obituary
Patricia Stein, age 86, of Rhinelander, died at the Friendly Village on June 23, 2015. She was born on March 16, 1929 in Treorchy, Wales, United Kingdom to William and Emily Samson. Patricia spent her youth in Wales as the youngest of thirteen children. She married George Stein in the early 1950’s in Kent, England and they came to the US and moved to Rhinelander, where she has lived since. Patricia was employed as a Nurses Aid for over thirty years, first at the St. Mary’s Hospital and then for the Friendly Village. She loved working with her patients. Patricia enjoyed many other things in life beyond her work. They included bird watching, reading, flower gardening and playing the piano. As a throwback to her days in Wales she also enjoyed “a spot of warm beer” while playing cards with her friends. Patricia is survived by her two sons Robert of Hollywood, FL and Michael (Nicole) of Rhinelander, her two grandsons Andrew and Adam, other family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband George on July 6, 2013, her son Anthony, her grandson Timothy and twelve siblings. Funeral services for Patricia will be held on Monday, June 29 at 11 a.m. at the Carlson Funeral Home with the Deacon Michael Harvey officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service, 9 – 11 a.m. Monday, June 29 at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Newbold Memorial Cemetery.
