Rhinelander High School Special Olympics team does well at State
Four area Rhinelander School District students competed in the Special Olympics State Summer Games in Stevens Point last week.
The games were held at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. The opening ceremony was held on Thursday, June 4th with law enforcement from all over Wisconsin participating. RHS students were honored to have their very own escort by school liaison officer, Sgt. Tyler Young and Rhinelander Police officer Jim Robbins.
Following are the students who participated along with their results:
Hannah Karstedt: 1st-Softball Throw; 3rd-50M Run
Krystal Kriesel: 4th-Softball Throw
Keegan Marko: 4th-Shot Put; 4th-100 M Run
James Michniak: 2nd-100 M Run
