Business Close-up: Grunst Archery meets all bow hunting needs
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Grunst Archery in Rhinelander, a testament to the fine products and stellar customer service that owner Dan Grunst gives all his customers.
And with bow hunting season right around the corner, now is the time to fine-tune equipment and check out all the new inventory at Grunst Archery.
For example, with crossbow hunting becoming legal for all hunters, Dan has tripled his inventory of these bows, and they come in a variety of styles and sizes. Manufacturers include Mathews-Mission, Parker, Ten-Point, Excalibur, Barnett and Stryker. As for those who are new to this weapon, Dan will take them through the finer points of shooting a cross bow, including fitting the bow to the archer and tuning it correctly. Dan has models that will fit both men and women.
In addition to crossbows, there are also plenty of standard bows to choose from as well. Brands of these include Mathews-Mission, Bow Tech, Hoyt, P.S.E., Parker and Dan’s own custom built bow, the Power-Pac. Dan has been turning out these fine bows since 1999.
Arrows are also offered and come in many colors, sizes and weights. Dan does arrow and bow repair including refletching arrows. He is also a custom bow string manufacturer. And if a customer requests a certain item that is not stocked, Dan will gladly order it.
While a correct fitting bow is important, hunters can also accessorize their weapon as well with anything from colorful string stabilizers to knob enhancers that come in a rainbow of colors.
In addition to the large selection of bows, there are a lot of accessories on hand as well. Everything from colorful string stabilizers to sunglasses are available, including a selection of Mathew T-shirts, sweatshirts and baseball caps. Scents and calls are also on hand, as well as life-like 3-D deer targets. Paintball accessories are also available and include ammo and refill CO2 tanks.
Some other interesting items available at Grunst Archery include blow guns and even toy cowboy pop guns, complete with rolls of ammo.
In addition, Dan provides an interactive video range for those wanting to try out their skill at bow hunting or practice before the season opens.
