Applications for Rhinelander 4th of July Parade being accepted now at Chamber of Commerce
Rhinelander area organizations and individuals who wish to participate in the annual Rhinelander 4th of July Parade can now pick-up and submit parade applications at the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce. The parade will take place in downtown Rhinelander at 11am on July 4, 2014. There is no application or entry fee but groups are encouraged to donate at least 5 dollars.
The 2014 parade theme is “Be True to the Red, White, and Blue” and entrants are encouraged to design their entry to fit with the theme. Entries of interest include several WI high school bands, Pipes and Drums of Thunder Bay, the ZOR Funsters, Janesville Fife and Drum, and the Rhinelander Community Band.
“We’re excited for what promises to be yet another successful parade celebration on the 4th of July in downtown Rhinelander,” said Rhinelander Chamber of Commerce executive director Dana DeMet. “It’s a great event that draws people from all over the area to enjoy the festivities in our downtown and to celebrate our nation’s independence.”
The Rhinelander 4th of July parade is organized by Leathernecks of the North and Downtown Rhinelander, Inc. Leathernecks of the North is a non-profit veterans organization that was created as part of the Marine Corps League established by an act of Congress, who provide support to Marines, wounded Marines, Marine’s families and other members of the military.
