Out in the Silence presented March 31 at Nicolet College
The film Out in the Silence about gay and straight people living in a small Pennsylvania town will be shown at Nicolet College at 4 p.m., Monday, March 31 in Northwoods Center Room 207.
The Emmy Award-winning documentary captures the chain of events that unfold when the announcement of filmmaker Joe Wilson’s wedding to another man and causes controversy in his small Pennsylvania hometown.
Set in the conservative community of Oil Town, the film tells the story of both gay and straight residents as they grapple with issues of social inclusion, economic decline and religious tolerance.
Admission to this hour-long film, presented by the Rainbow Hodags student club, is free and open to the public.
