Rhinelander Area Food Pantry seeks additional volunteers
The recent Food Pantry distribution has been averaging 50,000 pounds per month. Before food can be distributed to area families in need, it must be picked up, unloaded, weighed, sorted, stored and put on shelves. This could not happen without the efforts of many volunteers. If you have time to be part of this wonderful group, your efforts would be greatly appreciated.
The Food Pantry has a current need for volunteers to help in the following areas:
1. Monday, Wednesday or Friday, 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. – unload deliveries, weigh in and sort produce
2. Tuesday, 9 a.m. to noon – Stock shelves
3. Second or third Tuesday of the month, 9 to 11 a.m. – unload Feeding America delivery
4. Flexible to fit your schedule, approximately two hours per week – home deliveries
If you would like more information on how you could help with any of these efforts, stop by to see Jane Motowski, RAFP Manager, weekday mornings (436 N. Brown St.) or call her at 715-369-7237.
