Monica Hilt Named to newly expanded role with Ministry Health Care
Monica Hilt has been named to the role of president of Ministry Howard Young Health Care (MHYHC), in addition to her duties as president of Ministry Sacred Heart-Saint Mary’s Hospital. Her expanded role now includes all four Ministry Health Care northern region hospitals.
MHYHC consists of Ministry Eagle River Memorial Hospital, Howard Young Medical Center and One Penny Place; Ministry’s assisted living facility in Woodruff. Hilt replaces Sheila Clough, who resigned in August.
Hilt joined Ministry Health Care in September, 1991. During her tenure with Ministry, she has held a variety of leadership roles within hospital operations. In the last seven years, she has served as regional vice president of hospital operations for Ministry Health Care’s northern region hospitals, as well as serving as president of Ministry Sacred Heart-Saint Mary’s Hospitals. In addition to her hospital operations responsibilities, Hilt also provides system executive leadership for Ministry Health Care’s patient experience strategic initiatives.
In addition to Hilt, the Ministry northern region leadership team includes Laurie Oungst, regional vice president of operations; Deb Karow, RN, vice president of patient care services at Ministry Howard Young Health Care; and Ann Zenk, RN, vice president of patient care services at Ministry Sacred Heart Saint Mary’s Hospitals.
“We have a strong executive leadership team in the northern region and I look forward to continuing to lead Ministry Howard Young Health Care,” Hilt said. “I look forward to being more involved in the day-to-day operations at both hospitals in Eagle River and Woodruff.”
Hilt is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, serves on a number of community boards and is very active in local civic organizations.
