Viewpoint: Writer questions the need for a rural school task force
Editor:
The rural school task force.
Lets see, they’re not revamping equality into the district funding formula. They are not increasing school funding and they are not bringing money to the table. They are bringing their personal expertise to help solve the problem of a lack of money in rural educational budgets.
Are they there to help balance budgets? They are coming to talk to educators and administrators about ideas on how to cope with a state raped budget. Probably how to squeeze blood out of stone. Is this a stunt to get political media attention or is this a display of concern and mercy to be admired?
The one thing I do know is that they won’t be chewing the fat because no ones bringing meat to the table. Food for thought.
