Aspirus offering seasonal flu shots throughout area
Aspirus VNA Home Health is holding flu clinics throughout north central Wisconsin.
Flu vaccinations are available for people ages six months to adult and the nasal Flu Mist also is available. Children under the age of 18 will need parental consent.
All vaccinations will be entered into the Wisconsin Immunization Registry and Aspirus VNA Home Health will submit claims to all insurance companies.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends all healthy children ages six months to adult get vaccinated against the seasonal flu.
However, the vaccines are highly recommended for anyone over the age of 65, people with serious long-term health problems such as heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes, anemia, and people with weakened immune systems due to cancer treatment, steroid therapy or HIV/Aids.
