Viewpoint: End the gridlock in government

We think we’ve had enough. End the gridlock. End the games.

Senate Democrats have been battling every step of the way and have encountered nothing but Republican Roadblocks.

1. The Republican filibusters are greater than any other time in history.

2.They’ve voted at least 37 times to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

3.They shut down all budget negotiations including voting against the Equal Pay Act For Women.

4. They blocked every attempt to pass common sense gun control.

5.Twice in two years they filibustered President Obama’s judicial nominee for the DC Circuit Court and then attempted to eliminate the circuit-court judgeships entirely.

As long as the Republicans are ruled by the right wing extremists this all out obstruction will go on forever. They are the bully boys out on the playground holding office in a Congress which is supposed to represent the people who sent them there. They are getting rich at our expense.

It would be bright new sunny day if they would grow up and take responsibility for the mess we are experiencing.

We will start now to do whatever we can to force them out in the 2014 election.

We cannot afford the last two years of President Obama’s term to continue on this path to destruction. We the people can and will put an end to the bigotry and total breakdown of our government.

Then we can keep out the big banks and all the corrupt powerful interests.

We can keep and protect Medicare and Social Security.

We will invest in education and opportunities for our children

We will make a clean environment for the generations to come

Call your Democratic Headquarters to find out how we can keep the control of the Senate and regain the House. We are depending on You the People to set things back in working order.
