Obituary: Ted Clement
Ted Clement, age 84, of King, died on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at the Wisconsin Veteran’s Home. He was born on September 16, 1928, in Collins, Iowa to Leonard and Charlotte (Carver) Clement. He is survived by his daughter, Laurie (Tom) Wille of Streamwood, Ill.; two sisters, Bonnie (Joe) Birchmire of Maxwell, Iowa and Shirley Clement of Waterloo, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Mickey Steil of Rhinelander. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Charlotte Clement; his wife, Lila (nee Frederick) Clement; and an infant brother.
Mr. Clement owned his own television repair store prior to serving in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1954 during the Korean War, where he continued his electronics work on the U.S.S. Neches. Following his service, he held several positions as an electronics technician in the Chicago area prior to moving to Rhinelander in 1978. While in Rhinelander, he continued working until his retirement.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 10 at St. Mark Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard Miller officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 9 at the Carlson Funeral and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the church. Interment will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
