Letter: State Senate and Assembly should respond to poll results by Jim Leschke
Editor:
A nearby news media outlet recently ran a survey with the question being, “Should legislative districts be decided by a non-partisan board rather than by politicians?” When I saw the poll results, 452 people had responded. Not surprisingly, out of the 452 votes cast, 79 percent voted “yes,” while the rest had voted “no.” Hopefully, our representative in the State Senate and Assembly will see the poll and take action to implement something 79 percent of poll responders have endorsed. It sure wouldn’t hurt to give them a call and nudge them into action.
