Tomahawk Community Bank receives Business Friends of Education award
Tomahawk Community Bank is among nine Wisconsin businesses named by State Superintendent Tony Evers as 2013 Business Friends of Education. The awards are designed to recognize projects that collaborate in educating students and providing critical career readiness skills to create a thriving workforce.
The 2013 Business Friends of Education awards were presented Friday, April 12, during the annual Wisconsin Association for Career and Technical Education Professional Development Conference in Middleton. Following the awards breakfast, award recipients will participate in a panel discussion to showcase the partnerships they developed to integrate academic knowledge, technical and career education, and workplace learning skills.
Besides Tomahawk Community Bank, awards will also be presented to Johnson Controls Inc., Milwaukee; Jones Dairy Farm, Fort Atkinson; Kohler Company; Nelson Global Products, Black River Falls; NEW Water, Green Bay; Trace-A-Matic Corporation, Brookfield; Waukesha County Business Alliance; and Wood’sCrossing, Brodhead.
