Northwoods United Way receives donation from Wausau Paper Foundation
The Northwoods United Way recently received a check from Wausau Paper Foundation. In the fall of 2012, Rhinelander employees raised $36,000 of which 50% was matched from the Wausau Paper Foundation. Tracy Beckman, Executive Director of the Northwoods United Way received the match check for $18,000, for a total of $54,000 raised.
In addition to their donations, Wausau Paper Rhinelander Mill employees volunteer many hours at various human service organizations in the community. Beckman stated, “These employees make up a critical part of the non-profit community, not only with their dollars, but with their time. We thank them and are grateful for their loyal support.”
Donations will be used to fund human services agencies throughout Oneida, Vilas and Forest Counties. These agencies provide needed services such as food, clothing and shelter. For more information, click here.
