County buys former Daily News building
At the Dec. 18 meeting of the Oneida County Board of Supervisors, the board approved the purchase of the former Rhinelander Daily News building from Gregg and Kimberly Walker. The county and the Walkers came to an agreed-upon purchase price of $160,000 for the building and property. At press time, the real estate transaction was set to close Friday, Dec. 21.
At this time, the county plans to use the former Daily News property for additional parking for the Department on Aging/Health Department building on the adjacent lot.
Anyone with questions regarding this transaction may contact Oneida County Corporation Counsel Brian J. Desmond at (715) 369-6155.
