Northwoods kids get ‘hands on’ look at environment at Outdoor Heritage Day
The Wisconsin DNR sponsored their annual Outdoor Heritage Day on Saturday, Sept. 22, where kids could learn about outdoor skills including fur handling, trapping, fly fishing, casting, fyke nets, skeet shooting, air gun safety, orienteering and archery. More than 50 kids participated, along with 40 parents and 20 volunteers, including DNR personnel.
