Letter: Sommer will fight for us in State Senate by Catherine Joppa
Editor:
Growing up in the Northwoods, Susan Sommer is native to our values.
Educated in Rhinelander schools, she is comfortable hunting, fishing, paddling and hiking in our woods, lakes and rivers, As a 17-year prosecuting attorney, she knows how to be persuasive on the side of truth. As a volunteer for AmeriCorps and Habitat for Humanity, she can and has built houses from the ground up, she can and has put her talent and energy to the task of being elected to the state senate and help balance the divisive rhetoric in Madison. She will fight for equality in our public schools as well as in the important trades curriculums in our Community Colleges. She understands that our fragile waters and woods need to be protected from abuse.
Susan understands that we are a community of people who must talk together as neighbors, sharing in the fun and beauty and family values of our Wisconsin heritage. Susan Sommer has my vote on Aug. 14.
Catherine Joppa, Rhinelander
