Obituary: Walter S. Mangerson
Walter S. Mangerson, 71, of Rhinelander, died on July 11, 2012, at the Friendly Village, in Rhinelander. He was born on July 12, 1940, in Rhinelander, to Carl and Alice (Skott) Mangerson.
Walter attended schools in Rhinelander, graduating from the Rhinelander High School in 1958. He worked at Daniels/Printpack for many years until his retirement. Besides his employment at Daniels, he always had something else going on. He started a number of his own businesses, and he had many differing interests throughout his lifetime. He loved making fishing lures, reading history books and drawing. He was a lifelong resident of Rhinelander until moving to Alaska in 2002. He just recently returned to Rhinelander.
He is survived by his three brothers Carl of Milwaukee, Judson (Janet) Mangerson and John (Jean) Mangerson, both of Rhinelander; his special friends, Thelma Laska and Lloyd Wilcox; other family and friends. He was preceded by his parents and a brother, Charles “Bob” Mangerson.
Commital services will be held at a later dater at the Forest Home Cemetery.
