Obituary: Anna J. Olson
Anna June Olson, 91, of Rhinelander, passed away June 28, 2012, at Friendly Village Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born June 14, 1921, in Harshaw, to Frank and Cleopatra Watkins.
Anna June grew up in Rhinelander and graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1939. In 1953 she was united in marriage to Raymond Olson. She worked as a telephone operator when she was young, and then as a bookkeeper for many years. She was a 69 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Mabel Chapter 181, and was Worthy Matron in 1966. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children Gary (Donna) Olson of Prescott, Arizona and Cynthia (Dell) Pulsipher of St. George, Utah; two grandsons, Conor Hand-Olson and Tristin Pulsipher. She was preceded by her parents; her husband, Ray; her sister, Sybil and brother, Lyle.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to all the amazing caregivers at Cumberland Heights, Friendly Village Nursing and Rehabilitation and Ministry Hospice who cared for Anna June.
Services in celebration of Anna June’s life will be held on Saturday, June 30, at 1 p.m., at Hildebrand-Russ Funeral Home. The Order of Eastern Star will perform a service to be followed by a service by the Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from noon until the time of the service.
