Obituary: Virginia L. Williams
Virginia L. Williams, 78, of Rhinelander, died May 23, 2012, surrounded by her loving family, at her home. She was born on March 19, 1934 to Leslie and Margaret Jarvis.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth; her daughters, Deborah (David) Moss of Waterford and Susan Jones of Rhinelander; her sons, Jeffery Williams of New Berlin and David (Jill Boulden) Williams of Waterford; friend Pam Williams of Waterford; her grandchildren, Gary (Kim) Moss, Jodi (Mike) Essman, Sarah (Ryan) Arndt, Jason Jones, Nick Williams, Lisa Williams, Carolyn Bilton and Ellie Bilton; four great grandchildren; her sisters, Harriette (Cliff) Knaup, Betty Gross, Rosemary (Robert) Campbell, Janice (Ronald) Peterson and Joan (Edward) Ruether; her brothers, James (Dee Dee) Jarvis, Richard (Shirley) Jarvis, William (Eileen) Jarvis and Larry (Sandy) Jarvis, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded by her parents; sister Patricia; brothers Leslie, Jr., Allen, Robert and Gerald; and friend Chris Fell.
Virginia graduated from the Rhinelander High School in 1952, worked at Nestles in Burlington for 13 years and held various other jobs. She was the past secretary and treasurer of the VFW Ladies Auxillary. Virginia crocheted over 6,000 hats for school children through the Lion’s Club, for other charitable organizations, and for anyone in need of a warm winter hat. She also did afghans for families and nursing home residents. She enjoyed playing bingo at the VFW, crocheting, bird watching, gardening, reading, camping and spending time with family and friends.
Join the family in celebrating Virginia’s life on Saturday, June 2, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the VFW Ray Rousseau Post #3143 at 120 West Park Street in Rhinelander.
