Nicolet’s 2012 Outdoor Adventure Series features more than 50 classes
The great outdoors will be the classroom for those learning new skills and seeing new places this spring, summer and fall through Nicolet College’s 2012 Outdoor Adventure Series.
In all, the series features more than 50 different adventures and activities that last anywhere from an afternoon to nearly a week and range in difficulty from the very easy to the physically challenging.
Sea kayak and canoe classes are a mainstay and will have students paddling many of the most scenic waters in the region such as the upper Wisconsin, Deerskin, Bois Brule, and Manitowish rivers, the Turtle Flambeau and Rainbow flowages, and of course, Lake Superior.
The series, in its 16th year, also features several nature hikes through prime forests, a day with an expert birch bark canoe builder, and the opportunity learn the fast-growing sport of stand-up paddleboarding.
These are just a sampling of the many different classes that will be available through October.
