I have been thinking turkey so much lately; I thought today I would talk turkey.
A string of warm days has set the stage for a good weekend of fishing in the area. In the past weeks we’ve had a warm day, maybe two, then a drop in temperatures that shut off any fish activity. In the middle of this past week, the temperature got to the 70s and the long-term (or at least through the weekend) holds more of the same. All this is good news for the fishing fraternity.
If you are one who does not like the weather in northern Wisconsin, just wait a few hours or minutes and most likely it will change. That statement accurately describes the weather that many turkey hunters experienced this spring. Just about two weeks ago, we drove to Osseo to hunt turkeys with my frequent hunting and fishing partner, Tom Twesme.
