Alzheimer’s Association programs

The Alzheimer’s Association will present Living with Alzheimer’s for Early Stage Caregivers, a three-part series of educational programs that provides answers for caregivers to questions that arise during the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease, including the meaning of the diagnosis, planning for the future, handling change and resources available to help. This series will be held Feb. 6, 13 and 20 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Oneida Senior Center, 100 W. Keenan St., Rhinelander.

The Alzheimer’s Association is also presenting Living with Alzheimer’s for People with Alzheimer’s disease. This three-part series is for the person with the disease and will cover the meaning of the diagnosis, planning for the future, developing a care team, working with caregivers, and resources available to help. This program will be held Feb. 4, 11 and 18 from 10 a.m. – noon at the Oneida Senior Center. Both programs are offered at no cost due to funds raised by the Walk to End Alzheimer’s®. Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions in the particular series.

Both programs give people the opportunity to hear from those directly affected by Alzheimer’s disease and learn important information about the disease and caregiving methods.
