Northwoods United Way to host 8th Annual Ice Fishing Jamboree
The Northwoods United Way will be hosting its 8th Annual Ice Fishing Jamboree on Feb 2 with registration beginning at 7 a.m. The tournament will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will take place on Lake Minocqua at Stack’s Bay off Brunswick Road. Cash prizes will be awarded for the longest of each fish, including walleye, northern, perch, bluegill, bass, and crappie with 1st place awards of $75, 2nd place of $50 and 3rd place of $25. There will also be the possibility of obtaining a $1,500 prize for catching a fish marked by the DNR. The event offers many door prizes, goodies for children, a traveling trophy and many raffles.
