Early morning house fire in Cassian
Town of Cassian - On February 12, 2013 at approximately 4:23 a.m., the Oneida County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call of a structure fire near the cemetery on Lakewood Road. The fire was located at 4623 Partridge Lane. The house was fully engulfed in flames when fire fighters arrived.
The Cassian Fire Department, Hazelhurst Fire Department, Little Rice Fire Department, Newbold Fire Department, Nokomis Fire Department, Oneida County EMS and the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office responded to the fire.
The house was believed to be occupied and loss of life is believed to have occurred. The fire is being investigated by the State Fire Marshal, Town of Cassian Fire Department, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and the Oneida County Medical Examiner’s Office.
