Obituary: Jean C. Hagen

Jean C. Hagen, 91, of Rhinelander died Jan. 26, 2013, at Cumberland Heights assisted living facility. She was born Aug. 12, 1921, in Rhinelander to Louis and Catherine (Cuenin) Feiler. She is survived by three sons, Michael (Laurie), Joseph and Stephen (Cheryl) Hagen, and a daughter, Elizabeth Craig, all of Rhinelander; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; a son, Terry; two sisters, Doris Soderlund and Rosemary Nolda; a brother, Merritt Scheidegger; and a granddaughter, Shelly. Mrs. Hagen had volunteered for several years with the St. Mary’s Pink Ladies at Friendly Village and was employed at Ministry Saint Mary’s Hospital for seven years. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Jan. 30, at noon at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, St. Mary’s site, with Fr. Tom Thakadipuram officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass. (Hildebrand-Russ Funeral Home)
