Obituary: Doris M. Beckley

Doris M. Beckley, 91, died Jan. 11, 2013. She was born Nov. 23, 1921, in Harshaw to Lawrence and Cora (Disch) Retherford. She is survived by five children, Terry (Barb) Beckley of Pharr, Texas; Corie (Bob) Kettner and Debra Lehne, both of Rhinelander; and Dixie (Sparky) Stimart and Larry Beckley, both of Harshaw. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Beckley, as well as three brothers and three sisters. She enjoyed working in her perennial flower garden in the summers and kept busy in the winters crocheting afghans for family members. Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 18, at noon at Carlson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Union Grove Cemetery in the Town of Cassian. (Carlson Funeral Home)
