No leads yet in series of Oneida County burglaries
STAR JOURNAL REPORT
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a series of burglaries along this past week. On Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, at approximately 2:50 a.m., an Oneida County Deputy found an open door at a business on HWY 47. Upon checking the business, it was determined it had been burglarized. Within several hours, two other businesses had been found to have been burglarized, also on HWY 47
Sheriff’s Capt. Terri Hook stated in a press release that the department has been attempting to locate suspects in several burglaries that have occurred during the summer. These burglaries involve bars and restaurants but there have been no reports of burglaries to private homes.
The Sheriff’s office is asking that anyone with information about these burglaries contact the Oneida County Dispatch at 715-361-5201 and ask to speak with a detective, adding that anyone witnessing suspicious activity around or near restaurants and bars during the evening or early morning hours should call dispatch or 911.
