Doris L. Huven, age 79, of the town of Monico, died Thursday, July 12, 2018, at her residence, with family by her side and under the care of hospice. Doris was born Jan. 17, 1939, in Elmhurst, Ill., to William L. and Violet P. (LaVette) Johnson Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Pauline Huven of Monico; sons, Nate (Desiree) Huven of Pleasantville, Utah; Russell (Shari) Huven of Smithville, Tenn.; and Michael (Jodi) Huven of Elcho; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, William “Bill” (Karen) Johnson of Monico; sisters-in-law, Grace Ort of Edgar, Diane Huven of Moorcroft, Wyo.; and by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband. Walter “Sonny” Huven; her parents; son, Wayne; granddaughter, Elisha; and two brothers-in-law.
Visitation for Doris will be held Saturday, July 21, from 12:30 p.m. until the 2:30 p.m. memorial service at the Hildebrand Funeral Home, with Chaplain John Uhlarik officiating. A procession to the Monico Cemetery will follow. (Hildebrand Funeral Home)
