Betty Ann Sowinski, age 75 of Sugar Camp, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017, at her home, surrounded by family. She was born Aug. 4, 1942, in Rhinelander to Frank and Ida (Simmons) Robinson.
Betty is survived by her husband, Sonny Sowinski; her daughters, Theresa (Gary) Hamilton, Sue Oestreich and Eve (Jay) Wagler; her sons, Greg (Mary Jo) Sowinski and John (Brenda) Sowinski; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her sisters, Helen (Dale) Gerdes and Nancy (Thomas) Ives; nieces; nephews; in-laws, Jeannette Robinson, Nancy Robinson, Donna Robinson, Mary Robinson, Mary Ann Roberts, Al and Shirley Sowinski and Butch and Diane Sowinski and many friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Fred (Ruth), Karl (Shirley), Richard, Bud (Sue), Roger, Lavern and Eugene Robinson; her brother-in-law, Donald Roberts, and in-laws, Fred and Dorothy Cirilli; niece, Cathy Robinson Birch, and nephews Vincent Sowinski, Jim Robinson, Denny Robinson and Lee Robinson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Sept. 1, at 11 a.m. at the St. Kunegunda Catholic Church. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until just prior to the services, also at the St. Kunegunda Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the St. Kunegunda Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of other considerations, a memorial is being established in Betty’s name and may be directed to her family. (Carlson Funeral Home)
