Ralph Vanzo, age 90 of Rhinelander, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017, at King Veteran’s Home, surrounded by his family. He was born Sept. 19, 1926, in Stambaugh, Mich., to Turin and Anne (White) Vanzo. Immediately following high school, Ralph joined the Navy to serve his country in WWII (1944-1946).
Ralph is survived by his wife, Jean (Wittock) Vanzo; daughters, Patricia Vanzo, Shirley (Joe) Roque, Sue (Dan) Wadzinski, Brenda (Dave) Robinson, Karen (Scott Johnson) Vanzo; sons, Bruce (Susan) Vanzo, David (Barrie) Vanzo, Ken (Beth) Vanzo; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and parents-in-law, Ed and Josie Wittock; two sisters; three brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law, and two nephews.
