Meryl “Feetz” Cornwell, age 88 of the Town of Sugar Camp, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at the Friendly Village. She was born Nov. 4, 1928, in Sawyer, Mich. to Joseph and Ruth (Briggs) Parren.
Feetz was raised in Sawyer and completed her education there. She married George W. Cornwell and they traveled together as George completed his PhD. They settled in Gainsville, Fla., where they raised their two daughters and resided until moving to Wisconsin in 1986. Feetz had a soft spot in heart for Golden Retrievers and dark chocolate. She will be remembered as a very loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother.
Feetz is survived by her two daughters, Laura (John) Paszak of Sugar Camp and Jennifer (Dave Selbach) Geston-Selbach of Palm Harbor, Fla., four grandsons and two great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George in 2010, and three sisters.
